- <p> She's the Michael Jordan of soccer, but that's like being
- the Rodney Dangerfield of comedy. MICHELLE AKERS-STAHL is the
- star of the U.S. women's soccer team and is dazzling fans at
- the world championships in China. Right now she makes $1,000 a
- month, or roughly Jordan's shoelace allowance, but her fancy
- footwork almost earned her a kicking tryout with the Dallas
- Cowboys. "Some people in the U.S. don't know what a soccer ball
- looks like," Akers-Stahl observes. "That's frustrating."
